The Way Design Should Be

I’m Maritza (aka Ritz), a multi-disciplinary designer and illustrator living in the state of Maine.

I graduated from Syracuse University in 2014 with a BFA in painting. Despite my focus in painting I took a strong interest in graphic design during my senior year of college after taking a foundational graphic design class. Then I spent all my free time learning, practicing, reading and viewing materials about graphic design.

I’ve designed eye-catching graphics for various corporations, stakeholders and clients for over 8 years. Whether it’s print or digital, marketing or product, I know how to solve any problem with smart design choices for layout, typography, color and top notch creative and design direction.

When I’m not straining my eyes on screens I’m in the kitchen pretending I’m on Top Chef (keyword: pretending), walking around the neighborhood, playing with my cat Maple, attempting to make reading a habit and drawing for fun.
